About Me

I have over 20 years of experience in Hospice and Palliative Care and I would love to share my knowledge with you!

I regularly lead parish-wide retreats, women’s retreats, and workshops related to spiritual care, grief, and bereavement.

Here’s my CV, if you’re interested!

I hold a Doctor of Ministry from St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary and a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School. I am formally endorsed to do this work by the Antiochian Archdiocese of North America.

I am on the Faculty of the Harvard Medical School Center for Palliative Care and a Cambia Sojourns Scholar Leader, conducting research on spiritual care integration in Palliative Care. I am currently a Research Fellow at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

I also serve an Assistant Professor of Spiritual Care at St. Vladimir's Orthodox Theological Seminary, where I teach “Ministry to the Sick and Dying” for Doctoral students.

I joyfully mentor new chaplains and chaplaincy students within the Orthodox Church as well as within the Association of Professional Chaplains.

I attend St. Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church in Cambridge, MA, with my husband, Dr. Peter Martelli, and our son Rafael.

My other great love is music! I have served as a musical director for many theater programs, including the Boston Conservatory summer program and the Winthrop Playmakers. I sing in the Boston Byzantine Choir, and I teach musical theater singing and performance one day a week, at the Winthrop School of Performing Arts.

I’d love to offer a talk, workshop, small group series, or sermon for your parish or community.
